The 3rd 100 Articles in 100 Days (#HAHD) Marathon Challenge Begins Today

ezine articles, article marketing, #HAHDCome back with me to a Saturday Morning in the Spring of 2009 (feels kinda cool to say “Spring of 2009” here is the first day of 2010…).

I’m watching cartoons with my 2 sons and playing around on Twitter. I begin chatting with two “students done good” Felicia Slattery and Keith Goodrum about challenging ourselves to write more articles in less time for all the benefits involved.

Next thing we know, the first “100 Articles in 100 Days” is born. Keith grabs the #HAHD hashtag on Twitter. Felicia begins to promote it. I throw up a quick site. Chris Knight of EzineArticles gets on board and begins to promote it.

And all of a sudden, a little idea on a Saturday morning has gone big and viral!

At the end of the first challenge in July of 2009, Chris Knight asked me when I planned on launching the next one. I said sometime in the fall. Chris said how about August 1st. I said take it away Chris! And so the 2nd #HAHD Challenge began!

Which brings us to 2010 and the launch of the 3rd #HAHD Marathon Challenge which begins today!

I highly recommend you take up this challenge for all the great results it will bring you. There is no need to sign up for anything unless of course you do not yet have a free account at Ezine Articles. You can get all the details by clicking here.

So what are all the great benefits I mentioned to writing 100 Articles in 100 Days? Well in addition to all the great prizes you see in the graphic up above, here are just a few of the benefits:

  • You prove to yourself that you can do it. I can hear the chatter in your head right now. Prove to yourself that you can do it!
  • You will have created tons of content.

  • This is a fantastic challenge to take on for the beginning of 2010! More traffic to your website, products and services from targeted Ezine Articles traffic can only improve your business dramatically!

Jeff writes pretty much every single day. I see him sit at his computer and whip out great articles quickly… AND I see how many people join his list communities every day. Do one & you'll get the other

    Happy New Year!

  • Jeff…

I had never tried this just because I let things get in the way.. I guess it's time to step up to the plate.

I know the importance of articles… I sell them everyday with my article writing service but I personally find writing a challenge. That's why I have others do it.

Time to start doing it myself.

Thanks for the guideance and inspiration you give us all.

  • Hi Jeff, my first comment on your blog ๐Ÿ™‚
I love your line – an article a day keeps the recession away, its spot on. I am now going to read some more of your articles and I have just submitted my first article. 99 more to go ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Hi Jeff,

I have several articles already written and haven't had the "guts" to submit one to ezine articles. They are just sitting in my notebook and on my hard drive. I keep thinking that they aren't good enough. Maybe with this challenge I can get some of them submitted. One of my goals is to grow my business in 2010, so I guess I'm taking on the challenge. ๐Ÿ™‚

Due to weather our New Year's travel plans have been postponed, so I'll be working on my business. So this challenge couldn't have come at a better time.

I look forward to seeing you and Maritza again in Atlanta at the end of the month. Perhaps I'll have 20 articles submitted by then.

  • Jeff – I'm IN!

I noticed that the "rules" are to submit 100 articles of 400 words each. Is 400 words becoming the new minimum for EZA?

    Thanks for leading by example!

    • Not the min. for Ezine Articles- only for the challenge this go 'round. You can submit 250-399 words but they won't count for this challenge.

Hi Jeff I'm celebrating the New Year by accepting the 3rd #HAHD challenge and writing today's article before 6am. Excited to share hundreds of smart, sexy love tips in the next hundred days. Thanks for your inspired guidance in article writing! Hadley Finch

  • I’ve started this challenge twice before and quickly lost steam. What’s different this year? I’ve experienced the powerful traffic attracting effect of publishing articles on I’m a believer now! Thanks, Jeff for your inspiration and encouragement. What’s cool is that EzineArticles will tweet your article titles on Twitter the day they go live — multiplying the reach and effect of each and every article you write.

  • I submitted my first article for the challenge today.

Thanks Jeff for your genuine interest to help.

  • Thanks, Jeff, for a great idea! This challenge has many benefits, not the least of which is forming a daily writing habit.

Even if folks don't make the 100 articles, they have many more articles than they did when they started.

  • Ah yes, the 100 Articles in 100 Days Challenge!

I took on this Challenge this last summer; unfortunately, it wasn't long before I became a "100 Articles in 100 Days Challenge 'drop out!'" To my credit, though, I did manage to get a few articles written…so that was a few more than I had before I started. ๐Ÿ™‚

So here I am back again, still liking this year's Challenge. I'll be "tossing my hat in the ring" a tad late. And I may be modifying some of the rules to better suit me. Nevertheless, I'm in.

Thanks, Jeff, for being the impetus to get this going.

    Hey Jeff,

It really doesn't seem that long ago we were watching this challenge ignite like a wildfire on Twitter. I'm still stunned at how big this thing has become.

Looking forward to getting my very own EZA Beach ball!

  • I've been in since the first one. Really love these challenges! Seems every time I have even more ideas. Excited to meet new authors for this challenge as well. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks Jeff!

  • Hi Jeff!

Ackkk – I've been waffling on this and the clock is ticking – days have already passed. Where do we sign up? Is this it? Is there a forum where all your participants interact? or are you doing it all on twitter with the hashtag #HAHD? Thank you for the nudge, Jeff!

NO need to sign up – just create and submit your articles to EzineArticles – check out their blog at for full details….

  • Nice competition for article writers. As Lisa is sharing, it has some doubts as well for writers.
