SUNDAY MORNING INSPIRATION – Dancing in the Rain

I had another video planned for today…And then yesterday we got caught in a “sun shower” in a parking lot. You know, the sun is shining but it is starting to rain. Instead of dashing inside, the boys wanted to stay in the parking lot to see how long it took for the rain drops to completely cover the asphalt. Then they started dancing around…

Tracy – Isn’t it cool that we get to choose our attitude? What would it be like if we were handed our attitude each day and had no control over it?

  • We’ve had several “sun showers” here in the last few days…. many opportunities to dance! 🙂

Yesterday,, a terrible tragedy happened to my friend that was on the news across the U.S. As I cried.. I realized that I needed to in a place of love, not despair, so I could help her in any way she needs. I know that by choosing what attitude I will have, I can empower myself and inspire others. Thanks for the gratitude video today! It was wonderful!
    Peace and light EJ

  • Thank you, Jeff, for the inspiration and for introducing me to Simple Truths. My favorite part was “If you ask me ‘How are you?’ I’ll answer, GREAT! because in saying so, I make it so.”

  • Loved this, Jeff! Our sermon at church this morning was on exactly the same thing – you become a more thankful person by finding things to be thankful for. Must be the message of the day!

  • I have seen this video before as I am a subscriber to Simple Truths (I recommend everyone is). I always just watch the videos.

I enjoyed watching it a million times better this time around.

    Thanks.

Dancing in the Rain YES! YES! not at the moment in BC, Canada – home base for me. Beautiful hot spring no showers. The last time I danced in the rain was few months ago in Harbin Hot Springs, CA (for those familiar with the place you can just imagine) walking and dancing with mixed snow and rain, in complete solitude, tranquility and…. (shhhhhh not for everyone) It was pure bliss. The other time was in the Philippines a month ago – where most of the people were using their umbrella I soaked it up, took advantage of tropical rain showers.. Ohhh it was magical…Hope to experience this again at the AMAZON where I am heading a week from now…Buenos Aires, Brazil, Columbia and who knows what’s in store for me there. Loving life to the fullest. This reminds me how easy it is to start a blog all over again. Share my zest and love for living, gratefulness and the beautiful journey. Thanks for the inspiration Jeff. Love to meet you one of these days. Maritsa knows of me… if she does remember me that is…

  • Beautiful. In Arizona, we see so much of our blue sky and sunshine, I love a good storm. It feels like a vacation to me–a day-trip to New England or Louisiana or Europe. A downpour is literally a lifesaving blessing for us. We celebrate the end of a drought.

And yet we’ll still have newscasters refer to precipitation as “bad weather.” What do they plan to eat and drink? Storms feed us. I think it’s Neil Dempster who says there is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing choices.

EJ – glad to help. Remember it is not what you say at times like that, but your presence and availability that count…
