Step 1 - Most people choosing a niche are confused by all the different advice given. The biggest source of confusion is the trumpet blast of choose something you are passionate about. The reason you do want to choose something about which you are passionate is your passion will keep you going when the going gets rough.
So do choose a niche for which you have passion. Yet that passion is not enough. Read on to discover what I mean.
Step 2 - While it’s important to be passionate about what you do, you also have to make sure you choose a niche that other people are passionate enough about to spend money with you. Make sure you do your due diligence research to see if there are enough people who share your passion.
It’s amazing what you can do. I know a woman whose niche is Corgi dogs. But not the dogs themselves. No, her niche is Corgi dog stuff – key chains, mugs, picture frames, etc.
Step 3 - You want to look for a niche about which you are passionate and that many others are passionate about as well. Then those other passionate folks need to be willing to spend money with you.
Where those two lines cross, you just might have a powerful niche.
