It’s incredible to me how many people miss the power of a great resource box. This is the part of the article where you are able to include up to two active links back to your web site or blog.

And yet so many people fill the Resource Box with information about themselves. I guess this is easy to do since it is also called a Bio Box.

The problem is the Resource Box is not all about you, it’s all about the reader/prospect and what is in it for them. When you fill the Resource Box with only information about you, it’s like announcing “the article is now over and you can go away!”

Not really the outcome you want, right?

So to turn your articles into the prospect pulling tools they should be, simply invite the reader to get more good information from you in exchange for their email address.

Now, I don’t recommend that you try to send someone straight from your article to a sales page to try to make a sale right away. It’s just too big a leap for most folks.

What you can do is when you deliver on the freebie the prospect has traded their email address for, you can them offer them a discount on the full version of a product related to the freebie.
