Profitable List Building – The Perfect Cure for When Your List Community Is Too Small (Start Now)

Unfortunately there’s a lot of confusion out there about the importance of the size of your list community and how to grow your list community.

While size does matter, responsiveness is just as important as size, if not more so. You would rather have a highly responsive list of one thousand than a non-responsive list of ten thousand.

So here are 3 tips that make up the perfect cure for a small list (not that there’s anything wrong with a small list):

List Building Tip #1 – An Irresistible Offer – So of course you are going to offer your prospect something of value in exchange for their email address, right? The challenge is making sure it’s irresistible to your prospect, not just to you.

What would make it a total no brainer for your prospect to grab your offer? If you don’t know, or are not sure, ask. Seriously, ask a few prospects what they would want. Use and ask a few good questions to find out.

I really can’t stress this enough. Don’t just take your own word for it, ask your prospects!

Once you know what they want, be sure to ask how they want it delivered too. There’s a good example later on in this article of an irresistible offer that you can check out. But first you’ve got 2 more tips coming your way.

List Building Tip #2 – Double Your List – Challenge yourself with a goal to double the size of your list community. It you’re just getting started and have 20, your goal is 40 then 80 then 160 and so on.

If you have a large list of 8,000 you can still set the goal to double it. If you double to 16,000 by your target date then great, and if you fall short you’ve still grown your list community.

List Building Tip #3 – JVs and Affiliates – Create a teleseminar or webinar presentation that you can give to the list communities of like minded colleagues in your niche. You set up the opt-in page and your host sends the traffic. You do the presentation and everyone that signed up becomes a part of your list community.

Bonus Tip – The only thing I don’t like about Tip #3 is that I didn’t use it earlier to build my list community.
