Content creation is a very powerful way to build a firm foundation for your business.
So I’m going to give you 3 powerful strategies for creating revenue generating content. The first one is a mind-set strategy, and the next 2 are implementation strategies.
3 Content Creation Strategies
Strategy 1: Give up the false belief in writer’s block – Have you ever had speakers block? Have you ever had eaters block?
Silly questions, right?
But just for fun, what would you do if you ever got speakers block or eaters block? The cure for speakers block is to speak. The cure for eaters block is to eat.
The cure for writers block is to write. Consistently. Just like speaking and eating.
Strategy 2: Keep a Content Ideas List – The best way to always have lots of ideas for creating your content is to have access to lots of ideas for content.
How’s that again?
Most people, when it comes time to create some content, they reinvent the wheel by trying to come up with ideas on the spot.
A better way is to keep an ongoing list of content ideas. This is so much easier now with smart phones. Use the little note pad option in most smart phones to keep track of your ideas.
Get an idea in the middle of a movie? Don’t tell yourself you’ll remember it later and capture it then you won’t remember it!
Trust me on this one. Write it down.
In this way, you always have an ongoing list from which to draw when you need ideas for your content.
Strategy 3: Use Content Creation Templates – Most people start off creating content by staring at a blank screen or a blank sheet of paper. Memories of high school and/or college come flooding back, complete with images of and English teacher with a red pen, ready to mark up your content.
You don’t want to do what most people do, because most people are broke.
And the good news is you don’t have to do this. For one thing, you English teacher is not here. And if you’re as old as I am, he or she is probably dead. So don’t worry about it, just write conversationally, write like you talk.
When you use templates to create your content, you start out with a structure to follow. The structure triggers ideas.
And then your next step is simply plugging your expertise into the structure to create your revenue generating content.
