Here is one of the Most Frequently Asked Questions I get about Article Marketing:
Q: I’m interested in several niches and am planning on writing several articles in all of them. Is this the best approach to take when I am just starting out?
A: In a word, no. This is one of the biggest mistakes people make when they are just starting out.
The thinking goes something like this: “If I have multiple niches, that will increase the multiple streams of income and I can have multiple streams coming from multiple streams.” Or something like that.
How do I know this is the thinking? Because this is what I used to think!
When I first got involved on the internet I was a marriage and family therapist specializing in couples, families with teenagers, stress, motivation and change. So I wrote and created web sites in all these areas. Then I added practice building and article marketing.
My thinking was that I would have all these niches on the ‘net and have all this money coming in. What ended up happening was I had a lot of “busy-ness” and frustration and fatigue and not a whole lot of income coming in.
Only when I began to drop all the different niches and focus on just one was I able to go full time on the internet. In fact, the growth of my income and reach on the net is in direct proportion to the amount of focus I put on one niche.
So having skinned my knees and bloodied my elbows finding out the hard way, my advice to you is to pick one niche and drill deep. Write your articles and build your platform around just one specific niche. Build it out to where it is making you good streams of income and is in many ways running itself.
Then and only then would I even consider moving into another niche and following the same formula to get that niche up and running.
