A few thoughts and tips, hopefully helpful…

  • Here’s a favorite quote: “You are never given a dream without also being given the power to make it true. You may have to work for it, however.” ~ Richard Bach
  • Adapted to the Internet, this quote might read: “You can never buy any resource that works for you just by buying it. You must open the package and implement it.”
  • Perfectionism is not noble. Perfectionism is selfish. Perfectionism deprives the world of you.
  • Our church raised 1.7 million on one Sunday recently, every penny going to one of four causes: hunger, poverty, sickness and at risk children. Pretty cool. Huge learning point from the pastor: “It took us 16 years to be able to raise 1.7 million in a day.”
  • The ability to admit you were wrong opens up the possibility of change and growth. Refusal to admit you were wrong blocks change and growth and sets you to be wrong most of the time.
  • I don’t understand last minute Christmas shopping. It’s the same day every year.
  • A teenage boy tried to sneak back into his house after curfew by going through the chimney. Didn’t quite work out the way he planned. Title of the news feature about his rescue: “What An Ash!”
